At the water's edge

My youngest daughter Sissa a summer evening in the Blekinge archipelago. The water was lukewarm and full of parr - a very exciting experience for a toddler.

This is the old lighthouse keeper's house on Hallands Väderö, where we stayed a couple of wonderful days with our friends last summer. I used the painting for a perspective demonstration in class last Monday.

This was a lot harder than I thought. Semi-glossy and semi-transparent ... it took a number of attempts with watercolors and a great deal of photoshopping before I was satisfied. Now it's time to eat up the models and paste the candy receipt into the accountancy book.

Course start

My watercolour course at Folkuniversitetet is up and running again. So far we have done colour, shape, and structure, next comes perspective and later on seascapes, croquis ... well, I'll keep you informed. These are my demonstrations of oranges and peelings in different lightings.
