Eagle sketches

Lancaster sands

Morecambe Bay is an unimaginable experience even for those familiar with the concept of tide. I spent hours just looking at the seascape being transformed into a landscape by the tremendous force of the moon. This painting is in part a remaking of an oil I made a couple of years ago.

Update May 6th, 2011
This painting was just selected for Birds in Art, a yearly exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin!

Bene and myself are working on the book about Kumba whenever we get time for it. This is Kumba's new friend Baniki, in a bad mood as usual. The tricky thing about these African illustrations is the light, which is much stronger than what I am used to.
