Painting session

We did interiors in class last Monday, with special focus on perspective and light. I made this watercolor of my new private student painting in our kitchen.

It took me a few attempts to get where I wanted with this one. The lynx's head is a lot smaller than those of other felines, that's what pulled my leg.

Continuation course

We just decided on a four evenings continuation course starting Monday, January 10th. We will be studying the different pigments' properties like weight, transparency, and granulation, then move on to atmospheric effects like midday thaw, evening light, and mist. We will also be dealing with perspective and how to achieve immediacy - letting the viewer feel like being part of the scene. Welcome to join us!

We did buildings in last Monday's watercolor class and this is my demonstration painting: the lighthouse of Hallands Väderö from a photo I took last summer.
